We suggest equipping your transport vehicles with Voice Announcement Systems and LED route indicators (route information systems) in order to provide better passenger service.
The Route Information System automatically, without any driver’s participation, provides:
1) sound transmission of information messages (e. g. names of the stops, significant days) inside a transport vehicle;
2) outer audio informing of visually impaired people about the route No. and end stop when getting on a transport vehicle (additional order is required);
3) the ability to broadcast background music with auto-fade when announcing service information;
4) displaying of the text information on LED display panels facing the street (side, front): route No., names of the first, last and intermediate stops;
5) displaying of the text information on LED display panel facing the cabin (in-cabin): name of the next stop, advertising and information messages, significant dates, temperature inside and outside the transport vehicle;
6) the possibility to display by spotlights colour coding of the route No. (by special order, usually for electric vehicles).
The route information system is protected by the invention patent No. 2697496.0.
The route information system RIS-0630, hereinafter RIS, is the transport information complex intended for:
- LED indication of the route number names of the start and end stops on the frontal, side and rear displays of the transport vehicle;
- indication of the current stop, air temperature in the cabin and outside, issuing service, information text messages and significant dates messages on the in-cabin display panel;
- automatic or semi-automatic issuing of voice messages, messages about the holidays and significant dates in the cabin;
- additional automatic indication by the spotlights of the colour combination of the route number (for trams) on the spotlights display panels;
- additional external audio informing via the speaker installed outside with the possibility of separate or simultaneous information output in the cabin and outside (for the school buses).
RIS supports the operating mode in the multi-unit system or train in the audio mode as well as displaying information on the display panel. RIS-0630 is intended for use on the buses, trolleybuses, trams with the voltage of the on-board network of 12…24 V, which dimensions of niches and compartments are suitable for fastening the corresponding route indicators displays.

Basic technical characteristics of the voice announcement systems VAS-0651, VAS-0652.
Voice announcement system VAS-0651 and VAS-0652 can be delivered in reduced version (VAS-0651-ХS-11FХ and VAS-0652-ХS-11FХ-00) or in full version (VAS-0651-ХS-22F and VAS-0652-ХS-222C-CF), please refer to the pic. 1а) and 1 b).

The difference between VAS-0652 and VAS-0651 is a built-in Wi-Fi module, which provides the opportunity of remote loading of routes and CAN interface.

3.2. Basic characteristics of the text and spotlight display panels
Text display panels(photos 1.9-1.25) display text information about the route number and stops. Spotlight display panels (photo 1.24) display the route number code by 2 coloured LED squares (5 colour options in each square, coding colours: white, blue, red, yellow, green) and have a built-in text display panel. Spotlights are built in the display panel from the sides. For example, the display panel LED RDP-0630-10Y-1-4-10z-2 with two spotlights on the sides will have the width of the table LED RDP-0630-10Y-1-4, i.e. 1280 mm, and the built-in text table will have the format 1-3.
All display panels have:
1) brightness of the LED used is not less than 1,5 cd;
2) for monochrome display panels 5 colour options are available (yellow, white, blue, red, green);
3) adaptive brightness control depending on ambient light;
4) supply voltage range +(10…35) V;
5) protection against overvoltage in the on-board network and protection against power polarity reversal;
6) control interface from the information system RS-485;
7) screen matrix LED testing mode;
8) flashing of the programme from the flash card.
The display is fixed with brackets which are fastened by M6 or M8 bolts, screwed into the press nuts of the display panel frame.
3.3. Basic characteristics of the scrolling text displays STD-1111, STD-1112, STD-1113.
Scrolling text displays STD-1111, STD-1112, STD-1113 (further – STD-111X, please refer to photos 1.5 – 1.8) display textual or pseudo graphic information in the form of scrolling characters and temperature from 2 outer sensors (pic. 2.4).

STD-111X have:
1) supply voltage range +(10-35) V;
2) average power consumption not more than 15 W;
3) control interface RS-485.
STD is fastened with brackets on the sides with M6 screws (1 on each side).
The following characteristics of STD-111Х can be customized via the RS-485 interface:
1) speed, direction of movement, colour and duration of displaying the text;
2) colour and time of displaying the time / date and current day of the week;
3) colour and time of displaying the inner temperature;
4) colour and time of displaying the outer temperature;
5) brightness of LEDs;
6) information change mode: instant substitution or substitution after smooth fading.
Basic characteristics and overall and installation dimensions of STD-11XX are shown in the table 2.8 and pic. 2.3.
3.4. Temperature sensors
The overall dimensions of the sensors are shown in the picture 2.4.
Temperature range of indication is from -55 until +125 °C with an error of no more than 0,5 °C.
4.1 Route information system RIS-0630 is a complex, consisting of voice information system, LED front, side, rear and in-cabin display panels. Front display panel can contain spotlights.
4.2. Voice announcement system VAS-0651 or VAS-0652 is the main component of the complex. It performs automatic issue of all voice announcements in the cabin and outside the transport vehicle according to coordinate signals acquired form the GLONASS/GPS receiver, which is built in the VAS. GLONASS/GPS antenna is an external / outer one.
Voice announcement system controls transferring of information to the display panel, scrolling text display and spotlights. Control is carried out via two wires of the RS-485 interface. When the information on the VAS changes, information on all panels is changed automatically synchronically. When the route is changed from direct to the return, the information on the upper and bottom lines is changed automatically. When changing from the direct route to the return one, the information on the top and bottom lines is automatically reversed.
VAS-0652 is a modernized variant of VAS-0651 and is distinguished by the presence of the built-in Wi-Fi module and CAN-interface.
Announcement systems have the ability additionally to issue voice announcements outside through the speaker installed outside with the possibility of separate or simultaneous issuance of information into the cabin and outside.
VAS has an option of issuing the phrase “Caution, doors are closing, next stop is…” just before doors are closed.
VAS has the ability to automatically issue information about significant days only on the day of the event’s anniversary.
VAS has a metal body. VAS has three modifications of the front panel, please see table 1.2.
A more detailed description of the device, principle of work, detailed technical characteristics, purpose of controls, information about programming of VAS-0651 and VAS-0652 are given in the operation manual 0651OM and 0652OM.
4.3. The display can be supplied with LED modules with a pitch between LEDs 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 mm.
Display panel with a pitch 10 mm can be supplied both in monochrome and in full-colour versions, display panel with the pitch 4, 5, 6, 8 mm are supplied only in full-colour version.
Hardware spotlight RGB modules are used in conjunction with text display panels made on monochrome Р10 modules and have a format of 16x16 pixels (refer to photo 1.24).
There are no separate hardware spotlight modules in the display panels on full-colour RGB modules, they are configured by software of the existing RGB field of the display panel.
The display case is made on the basis of a frame structure with 8 press nuts for fastening with M6 or M8 screws.
On the modules Р4, Р5, Р6, Р8 the display panel is fastened by the bolts М6, on the modules Р10 – by the bolts M8 or M6.
The display can have two versions: with the ABC plastic case, covering the board from the sides and back or with the ABC plastic plate, covering it from the back. The plastic case has a hatch that allows you to reflash the display panel or change the address of the display panel without opening the case.
There is no glass in front.
4.4. The body of the scrolling text displays ST-111Х is metal with press nuts for fastening from the sides. The light-emitting component is an 8x8 LED RG matrix.
There is no glass in the front, as LED matrices are vandal-proof.
4.5. Air sensors inside the cabin and outside TS-0030-5-2 (photo 2.4) are made sealed in the form of a cylindrical probe with a cable.
5. Warranty
The warranty period is 1 year from the date of sale, subject to consumer observing the conditions of operation, transportation and storage.
Average lifetime – not less than 7 years.
